Profile Chalice Engineering Simulation Ltd is the trading body for the consulting and contracting activities of Mark Chillery and his associates. Mark has over 18 years experience of structural analysis, across the mechanical engineering field, primarily using finite element tools. He has worked in the oil and gas sector since 2001. Mark is a chartered engineer and NAFEMS registered finite element analyst. Mark has been commissioned by NAFEMS to write a publication of best practice in structural FEA, ‘The NAFEMS Structural Handbook’. This publication, to be published in Summer 2009, will describe methods to help practitioners in any industry ensure their engineering analyses are reliable and accurate Mark's analysis capabilities are certified through the NAFEMS Registered Analyst Scheme. Management Approach Chalice Engineering aims to provide accurate and reliable computer aided analysis, to maximise customer benefit. An important element in achieving this is an awareness of quality management principles. Read more on Management and Quality here. Chalice Engineering is a member of the professional body for numerical simulation and finite element analysis (NAFEMS) and Mark has written many articles for their quarterly journal, BENCHmark. Industry Experience Mark has worked for many of the leading businesses in the oil and gas, aerospace, and rail sectors, including Rolls-Royce, Cameron and Bombardier. Mark is experienced in many industry
standard general purpose finite element codes, including ANSYS (Classic and Workbench), Abaqus (including Abaqus CAE) and MSC Nastran/Patran. He has undertaken many
types of analysis in the oil and gas industry ranging from simple
